Measuring Up at Washington Elementary

Hauer Closer Washington Elementary 

At Washington, Kelsy Hauer’s class is reading the Folk Tale, “The Empress and the Tallest Tree”. They

have started learning about measurement in math. In the story they are learning that sometimes it is

difficult to measure heights without the right tools. They will continue with many lessons measuring

different items to find the longest and shortest lengths, heaviest and lightest weights, and find how we

measure warmer and cooler things with a thermometer.
