Degrees and Certifications:
I am very excited to be teaching in Hamilton School District. I grew up in Bozeman, but have fallen in love with the beautiful Bitterroot Valley.
I have a degree in Range Science, Wildlife Biology Option, from Montana State University. I worked for several years as a wildlife technician on projects ranging from fawn survival rates in the upper peninsula of Michigan to endangered shorebird studies in North Dakota and grazing of noxious weeds in Polson. In addition to those studies, I spent time in Alaska at the Donnelly Training Area and with Alaska Fish and Game doing a variety of wildlife related jobs. I decided to change career paths and become a teacher when I came back to Montana. I received my teaching degree from the University of Montana.
My interests include hiking, camping, traveling, reading, trail running with my two dogs, and spending time with my husband. Along with the amazing Mr. Jessop, I coach middle school cross country and love it!
I have a passion for encouraging my students to become curious and engaged in the world around them. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of exploring our Earth!
