EXCELLENCE - INTEGRITY - COMPASSION - COMMUNITY
I grew up in small northern Nevada community. I attended Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. I then went on to complete my secondary teaching certificate at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nevada. I did my student teaching at Carson High School in Carson City, NV in the subject areas of Sociology, Psychology and Advanced Placement Psychology. I moved to Utah and began my high school teaching career at Hillcrest High School in Midvale, Utah. I taught International Baccaleaurate classes both at the standard and higher level for Psychology, Adavanced Placement Psychology, International Baccalauerate Theory of Knowledge, Psychology I, Psychology II, Journalism, and Student Government. At Hillcrest I also had the honor of being the advisor to Key Club and coaching the freshman volleyball team. I decided to take the plunge and obtain my Masters of Counseling from Boise State University. I've been working for the Hamilton School District as a school counselor since 2013.
My hobbies include running, mountain biking, road biking, hiking, backpacking, camping, reading and hanging with my dogs, Bayley and Rue.
