Drivers Education Meeting

If your student would like to be considered for our Spring Drivers Ed session:

They must be 14 1/2 by April 3rd

Parents/Guardians must contact the HHS main office directly to ensure your student is on the request list. The requests must be made no later than March 12th.

Placement is based strictly on birthday.

If your student is selected for the Spring Session, we will contact you directly by March 15th.

The cost of Drivers Ed is $330.00. Payments can be made at the HHS high school main office. 

There will be a mandatory parent/guardian/student meeting on March 18th @ 6:30 PM at the HHS PAC. Parents/Guardians who do not attend, your student will not be allowed to participate in the spring session.

Paperwork to bring to the meeting:

Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Proof of Residence

This class is geared toward beginner and novice drivers. It is designed to equip students with a fundamental understanding of Montana traffic laws, rules of the road, the basic operation of a motor vehicle, and driving “best practices” focused on safety and control. “In-class” sessions will focus on a wide variety of topics pertaining to driving, vehicle maintenance, vehicle ownership, and driving safety.  In addition to class sessions, students will be required to complete 6 hours of supervised “Behind-the-Wheel” driving instruction.  All drives will be completed outside of the school day, and will occur after school and on weekends.

PREREQUISITE: The student must be 14.5 years old by the start of class. Priority will be given to upperclassmen & birth date.

FEE: $300

Enrollment priority will be based on grade level and then birthdate.
