Exciting news from Hamilton High School!
The Missoula Region MCTM Math Contest (Montana Council of Teachers of Mathematics) was held Tuesday March 8th, 2022. Hamilton High School was represented by 14 of the best mathematical minds in the state. Each student takes 3 individual tests and then is part of a team test at the end of the day. The subjects of the tests correlate to the grade level of the student and can range from Algebra to Probability to Calculus. Over 700 students competed in the competition this year.
The Broncs did exceptionally well.
Our Calculus team - Hunter Bonnes, Derek Twardoski, Zsomi Kari, Isaac Harmon, Cooper Gurney and Will Heitmann - tied for 1st place in the team 11/12 division.
Derek Twardoski earned 2nd place overall and was awarded a 200$ Scholarship.
Hunter Bonnes earned 3rd place overall and was awarded a 200$ Scholarship.
