Bronc Softball - The Lady Broncs Won their game against East Helena April 8. 12-10.

Coach Jessop Reports April 6th Track & FIeld Results:
Our Hamilton Bronc Track & Field athletes are putting in the work that produces results. On Thursday, April 6, at the Hamilton Invitational, our girls performed to the level that won them 1ST PLACE as a team and produced 18 personal records. The boys also showed their grit and took home 1ST PLACE with individuals gaining 31 PRs!
The bus to state is already filling up with qualifying Broncs. Our boys 4x100 meter relay is in at 44.28. The boys 4x400 relay also qualified and leads the state at 3:32. Jenna Ellis qualified with a 400m time of 61 seconds. Mya Winkler added to her impressive list with a javelin throw of 116’8”. Chesnee Lawrence cleared 10’0” in pole vault. In distance events, Evan Bennet posted an 800-meter time of 1:59.99 and Taylor Doleac ran a Hamilton freshman record 2-mile in 10:04.

Recap of the tennis team's matches against Corvallis from Coach Dufresne:
Welcomed by the warmth of the sun, eager players and spectators fueled an energetic vibe as the Hamilton Broncs hosted Bitterroot Valley rival Corvallis Blue Devils Sunday. The Hamilton boys battled Corvallis to earn a 4-3 victory, while the Corvallis girls edged Hamilton by the same score. The dual featured fantastic play from both teams, punctuated by consistent cheers erupting throughout the day. The sun finally put an end to play as it settled behind Bitterroot-Selway mountains. The Hamilton Broncs next travel to Missoula to face Loyola at 12:00 PM on Thursday April 13th. Can't wait!

What a day for Track and Field! The HAMILTON INVITATIONAL included 24 high school teams and over 900 competitors. The volunteers from Hamilton hosted what could be the largest track meet in the state for the entire 2023 season. It takes many people to host such an event and thanks go out to so many people. If you see them around town, thank them for their many hours of help.
I am honored to be part of such a vibrant track & field community.
Sincerely,
JAKE JESSOP, HHS Track & Field

Good Luck Broncs!!!

Congratulations HHS Broncs for their win over East Helena in baseball 14-4!!!!
Track News - After Frenchtown was forced to cancel their meet due to snow and ice, we adjusted and rolled with the weather window for Friday. The HHS Track & Field team competed at an 'impromptu' meet in Corvallis against the Blue Devils and teams from Darby, Florence, Stevi, Dillon, a few athletes from Gallatin High and even a team from Waimea, Hawai'i! It worked out quite well for the Broncs. Our girls won the meet, 23 points ahead of Corvallis and our short-handed boys were still second place behind a strong Dillon squad. Many good marks and some outstanding ones. Congratulations to Andrew Burrows, who is now tied for the all-time shot put record for Hamilton High: 56’ 1.5”!! Tyanna Jessop will join the state team with a shot put throw of 35’10”. Evan Bennet set a state-qualifying time in the 1600m run of 4:33. Ayda Griffin (5’0”) and Emilee Searle (5’1”) also punched their tickets to Laurel in the high jump. Those additions mean that Hamilton now has 9 auto-qualifying marks and 31 letter-winning marks! Way to go Broncs!
