Track News - After Frenchtown was forced to cancel their meet due to snow and ice, we adjusted and rolled with the weather window for Friday. The HHS Track & Field team competed at an 'impromptu' meet in Corvallis against the Blue Devils and teams from Darby, Florence, Stevi, Dillon, a few athletes from Gallatin High and even a team from Waimea, Hawai'i! It worked out quite well for the Broncs. Our girls won the meet, 23 points ahead of Corvallis and our short-handed boys were still second place behind a strong Dillon squad. Many good marks and some outstanding ones. Congratulations to Andrew Burrows, who is now tied for the all-time shot put record for Hamilton High: 56’ 1.5”!! Tyanna Jessop will join the state team with a shot put throw of 35’10”. Evan Bennet set a state-qualifying time in the 1600m run of 4:33. Ayda Griffin (5’0”) and Emilee Searle (5’1”) also punched their tickets to Laurel in the high jump. Those additions mean that Hamilton now has 9 auto-qualifying marks and 31 letter-winning marks! Way to go Broncs!

We have the opportunity to determine the future of our school district through a vote to keep crucial programs, recruit and retain staff, and build our future.
We would encourage you to take a moment and hear from the people working in our schools about the current state of our facilities.
Together, we can build our future for Our Kids, Our Schools, Our Town.

Full Results from the Blue Devil Invitational

Coach Jessop Reports Meet Results:
Montana springtime temperatures did not deter the HHS Track & Field teams from excellent performances at the Blue Devil Invitational. Our athletes competed with high energy and represented Hamilton with class. By the end of the day, both the girls and boys team scores showed HHS in first place. There were dozens of individual highlights from the day. Needless to say, for varsity competition, 17 boys placed with 5 individual winners. For the girls, there were 30 placers and 7 individual first place finishes.
Highlighting a few athletes, Andrew Burrows threw state-qualifying marks in the shot put (52’7”) and the discus (160’8”).... jaw-dropping numbers for the first meet! Mya Winkler took first place in all three throwing events: shot put, discus, and javelin. Each of those were chosen as Hamilton's "Athlete of the Meet." The athletes themselves designated Tyana Jessop and Logan Harrison as "Teammates of the Meet", a high honor in our Championship Culture.
