
It was Decade Day at HMS as we continue to celebrate reading with Drop Everything and Read month.


The 2023 HMS Science Fair took place on Tuesday. A big shout out to the 51 students who took part in this event for their hard work. Special thanks to Ms. Roberts and Mr. Barcus for their leadership in guiding their students throughout the process, and to the 19 judges who volunteered their time.






Girls' basketball on Monday and wrestling on Tuesday. The HMS Broncs are on the move!

The Hamilton Middle School sixth grade choir, along with the seventh/eighth choir were in Polson on Friday participating in the Montana Youth Sing. Fourteen schools from western Montana took part in this outstanding program. Special thanks to HMS choir teacher, Ruth Reneau, for all her work in preparing her students for this fantastic opportunity!

6th Grade Skiing:
Due to severe wind chill temperatures the ski trip scheduled for tomorrow, February 23, has been cancelled. Thursday will be a regular school day for all 6th grade students.
The ski trip to Lost Trail has been rescheduled for March 16.

Congratulations to Hamilton Middle School spelling bee participants Oliver Pound (6th grade) & Isa Neal (5th grade) for their outstanding performances at the Ravalli County Spelling Bee. Isa placed 2nd and Oliver placed 1st!!! Both students have qualified for the state spelling bee! Great job and good luck Oliver & Isa!!!


The Colts taking on the Frenchtown Broncs tonight!




6th grade students in Mrs. Schoenleben's advisory celebrated Valentine's Day by playing spoons!



Due to a schedule change, the 8th grade girls' basketball teams will play AT Frenchtown at 4:00pm Tuesday, February 14. The 7th grade teams will play at home against Frenchtown at 400pm.

The HMS Colts girls' basketball teams will be in action this afternoon. 7th grade will be playing at Corvallis in the Corvallis High School gym, and 8th grade will be hosting Corvallis at HMS. Games begin at 4:00pm.
Please note that due to flooding as a result of broken pipes at HMS, spectators must use the school's main entrance to access the gym. Individuals requiring handicap access may use the gym doors along 6th Street. Thank you for your understanding.

Students in Mr. Pool’s 8th grade US History class had the opportunity to re-examine and simulate the Supreme Court case “Brown v. Board of education 1954” earlier this week.
