Congratulations to Hamilton Middle School spelling bee participants Oliver Pound (6th grade) & Isa Neal (5th grade) for their outstanding performances at the Ravalli County Spelling Bee. Isa placed 2nd and Oliver placed 1st!!! Both students have qualified for the state spelling bee! Great job and good luck Oliver & Isa!!!

The Colts taking on the Frenchtown Broncs tonight!



6th grade students in Mrs. Schoenleben's advisory celebrated Valentine's Day by playing spoons!


Due to a schedule change, the 8th grade girls' basketball teams will play AT Frenchtown at 4:00pm Tuesday, February 14. The 7th grade teams will play at home against Frenchtown at 400pm.

The HMS Colts girls' basketball teams will be in action this afternoon. 7th grade will be playing at Corvallis in the Corvallis High School gym, and 8th grade will be hosting Corvallis at HMS. Games begin at 4:00pm.
Please note that due to flooding as a result of broken pipes at HMS, spectators must use the school's main entrance to access the gym. Individuals requiring handicap access may use the gym doors along 6th Street. Thank you for your understanding.
Students in Mr. Pool’s 8th grade US History class had the opportunity to re-examine and simulate the Supreme Court case “Brown v. Board of education 1954” earlier this week.



Girls' basketball season tipped off tonight as the HMS Colts had outstanding performances against Stevi. Great job to the 7th & 8th grade teams!


The I Love to Read Month dress-up Wednesdays for HMS start this week!!

Parents of youth interested in joining Hamilton Youth Wrestling, formerly Little Guy Wrestling, are invited to meet with coaches and collect information about the upcoming season tonight at 6:30pm in the Hamilton Middle School multipurpose room. Also at 6:30pm, a parent meeting for middle school wrestling will take place in the auditorium. All parents of prospective middle school wrestlers are encouraged to attend this meeting. Thank you.
Wrestling season is just around the corner! Practice begins on February 13, and is open to 6th-8th grade boys and girls. There will be a parent meeting on Monday, February 6 at 6:30pm in the HMS auditorium. Parents of those interested in joining the wrestling team are encouraged to attend.
HMS girls’ basketball practice will be at Daly Elementary on Thursday. 7th grade will take the bus to Daly after school. 8th grade practices at 5:15pm at the Daly gym.
Girls’ basketball practice started on Monday. HMS is looking forward to a great season! Drop off and pick up location for practices will be the west side of the gym on 6th Street. Go Colts!


The 5th grade ski trip to Lost Trail is go! Students should be at the school at 7:15am.
The Hamilton School District transportation department is monitoring an incoming storm that may impact the 5th grade ski trip to Lost Trail tomorrow, January 27. Cancellation of the trip may happen due to unsafe driving conditions. Our transportation director and school administration will make a decision on the trip late this evening or by 6:00am Friday morning. Thank you.
